Essentials

Residents here take a short 10-mile trip to Warsaw for most shopping needs. There, you’ll find a Top’s Friendly Markets supermarket, a Save-a-Lot grocery store, and Lantz’s Bulk Foods. Warsaw also has the area’s only Walmart store for retail shopping. The hospital that serves the region, Wyoming County Community Hospital, also is in Warsaw.

Recreation & Entertainment

Because Wethersfield is such a sparsely populated area, outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking and snowmobiling are among the most popular activities here. About 14 miles northwest in Varysburg, you’ll find Byrncliff Resort, which has an 18-hole golf course, an outdoor pool, cross-country ski and snowshoe trails, miniature golf and live entertainment.

Route 78 runs east-west through Wethersfield. Route 19, which goes north-south, is just east of town.

Pros & Cons
