Stafford has historic churches, golf, an apple farm, a local history museum and the Stafford Trading Post, where locals congregate. Small-town fun is abundant, from a Mother’s Day chicken barbecue, a firemen’s carnival and the annual Taste of Stafford event. The Stafford Village Four Corners Historic District has buildings dating back to the early 1800s. Nature lovers are drawn to great outdoor spots like Black Creek, Horseshoe Lake, Godfrey Pond and Oatka Creek. The town also includes the hamlet of Morganville. In Stafford, you’re just minutes from Batavia, the geographic and commercial center of Genesee County, where you’ll find lots of shopping and dining options and Genesee Community College. A quick drive east takes you to LeRoy, which has a lovely waterfall and a museum devoted to Jell-O.

Local Museums/Landmarks
The Stafford Museum of History has a collection of pottery that was produced in the hamlet of Morganville in the 1800s as well as agricultural artifacts and more. The Stafford Village Four Corners Historic District at the junction of Route 237 and Route 5 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 and includes two homes, two stores, a church and a seminary. A short drive east takes you to Mumford, home of the Genesee Country Village & Museum, a 19th-century “living museum.”
