The town, and especially the village, is chock-full of historical places. Oatka Creek flows through the village, and kids love to play there in the summer. Warsaw is just about halfway between Rochester, to the east, and Buffalo, to the west.

The Monument Circle Historical District encompasses 21 properties, including the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, the Wyoming County Courthouse, the sheriff’s office and jail, and the Warsaw Public Library. The entire district is on the National Register of Historic Places, as are the Warsaw Downtown Historic District, Trinity Church, the U.S. Post Office and Warsaw Academy. The abolitionist Liberty Party was founded in the village of Warsaw in 1839. The Wyoming County Historian’s Office is at 26 Linwood Ave.
